Intelligent Endurance triathlon coaching services

Stay Updated

The keys to my success is my passion for endurance sports, the knowledge I continue to attain, and my authentic process tailoring a personalized training experience for each athlete based on you own hopes, wants, and dreams.

Based out of the Bay Area in Northern California I coach athletes from many different states and of varying ability levels. I have great success working with beginner and novice athletes completing their first running 5k and open-water swim races up to their first Ironman and Ultra running events. I also work closely with those who have set the bar even higher helping athletes qualify for the Ironman World Chamionships in Kona, HI, for the Boston Marathon, and for multi-day endurance stage racing across the globe.

With a background of education coupled with over a decade of experience in endurance sports as an age group and professional triathlete, Coach Nick has the history, understanding and knowledge to help you become a more intelligent athlete (and faster!). Being an educator at heart, Coach Nick understands how to connect with athletes and help them to fully comprehend how to use their intelligence to make them a better athlete.

Definition: the ability to withstand hardship or adversity; especially the ability to sustain a prolonged stressful effort or activity

 - Merriam-Webster Dictionary

Athletes are encouraged to question and actively participate in the training and racing process. Our coaching methods focus on many forms of intelligence including emotional intelligence. The term 'emotional intelligence' can be described as "a form of social intelligence that involves the ability to monitor one's own and others' feelings and emotions, to discriminate among them, and to use this information to guide one's thinking and actions". Understanding how a workout works is important; understanding how an athlete works is more important.
